Understanding Semiconductor Tools Manufacturing
In today’s Semiconductor manufacturing environment process flow complexity is continuously evolving. These complex interactions can affect many other steps whereby the final device parameter might be determined by the results from many other inputs. Such a dynamic environment requires highly sophisticated equipment specialized for a certain process step. It is critical to maintain control over the configurations of each type of equipment in order to maintain continuity of the manufacturing process flow.

Some manufacturers have referred to such a process control as “Copy Exact” or Copy Exactly”. Mandates on suppliers that provide products either directly or indirectly in an OEM relationship are required to “lock” a configuration for up to five years from initial purchase.

Once a specification is approved digitalVAR will assemble a DEMO system at no charge for testing.

Consignment and Production Support
In such a demanding environment up-time and reliability are paramount. digitalVAR understands this requirement and will provide on-site consignment units, warehousing, warehousing, stocking of critical path components as well as fully assembled material for the purpose of field service replacements or ongoing release order management. For customers with consignment units onsite, field service replacements are typically handled with 24hrs or less. For the majority of our customers, new release orders for products are delivered with less than 72hr lead time. We accept open purchase orders for up to 3-5 years from original order date.
